To Sail a Darkling Sea – Great Read

Just finished my second time through To Sail A Darkling Sea. It’s the second book in the Black Tide series by John Ringo and it’s another great read. John has a knack for Character development that really engages his readers. This books continues the story of how a group of survivors are dealing with a Zombie Apocalypse. The Central characters are two teen girls that are larger than life and have been prepared for this kind of event by their father. The first book was great and this one is even better. I can’t wait for the next book and that is a common trait of John Ringo books.

Great Zombie Story

It’s kind of a Zombie story but a little more realistic than some that i have seen. The story is called Under a Graveyard Sky and it’s the first book in a new series by one of my favorite authors, John Ringo. John has a talent for developing really interesting characters and is also excellent and giving you just enough detail without overdoing it. He also has an knack for adding humor to his stories that work well with the story.

This book follows the adventure that a family has during the start of a Zombie Apocalypse. He actually has a plausible explanation for how it happens and that is somewhat alarming in itself. Of course the family in this story is not your every day run of the mill family from the suburbs so that helps move the story along. When I got the book I couldn’t put it down. I think he did a great job and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Good Read – Empire of Man Series

I just got done reading the Empire of Man series by David Weber and John Ringo. It’s a 4 book series that has a lot of action and some very interesting characters. Once I got into the story I didn’t want to put it down. It’s Sci-Fi but for the most part it is not set in space as so many Sci-Fi stories. It’s also part of the Sci-Fi military genre that I have been reading and have found to be very interesting. The books are excellent reads. The only bad thing I have to say about the series is that I think they left the readers hanging with the last book. There are too many loose ends that need to be tied up. I really liked the chracters and their development and was kind of bummed that I don’t get to see what happens to them. Please guys, give us more to let us see how things end up.

March Up Country is the first book in the series. Check it out if you like Sci-Fi
