New Desk Setup

 

Recently I had read a lot about how bad it is for you to sit all day and connected that with the amount of sitting I do for work and personal projects.  I saw a couple of people that I follow on Twitter were trying stand up desks and decided to give it a try.  There are supposed to be many benefits of a standing desk once you get used to it. The biggest obstacle that I faced was how I was going to modify my desk to give me the correct ergonomics for standing.  After a little looking around the office and house I came up with a solution and I have included a picture of that below.

I have only used the new setup for one full day now but I am optimistic that it is going to make a difference for me.  It is taking a little getting used to but so far I like it.  I do need to take a break every now and then and want to find a good high stool that I can pull up to work at the desk when I need a break from standing.  So far so good.
