New Fitbit - Love It

My Fitbit Charge 3 had become very difficult to read so I decided I needed a change.  I tried a Garmin Smart Watch but I was not satisfied with some of it's features and I decided to go back to the Fitbit Ecosystem.  I decided to try an Fitbit Versa 2 and I am glad I did.  The AMOLED Display is quite nice and easy to read and with many different watch faces available  found one that I really like.  I also got rid of the standard Silicon band and put on a nylon band that was less than $10 and I am really happy with it.  Now that I am happy with my new Fitbit it's time to start trying to use it on a regular basis

Bye Garmin - Back to Fitbit

I wore my Garmin Vivoactive 4s for a week and while I liked the look of the watch and most of it's functionality, I decided to go back to Fitbit.  One of the reasons that I decided to go back was sleep tracking.  The Sleep tracking on Garmin does not work well at all.  Garmin has you enter your normal sleep time in their App and they work from there.  It does not appear to track separate instances very well at all. For example I was working some strange hours and napping at times and it was not picking up the naps at all.  Also I miss the Fitbit Community that I have.  I have a number of friends that invite each other to challenges and activities and I enjoy that.  In the end I decided that I am more comfortable in the Fitbit Ecosystem and don't need all of the more advanced features that the Garmin provides for more serious athletes.

New Fitness Tracker

Been having some issues with my Fitbit Charge 3 and decided to try a new Fitness Tracker.  Not really thrilled with anything in the Fitbit Lineup currently so I decided to give Garmin a try.  Just received my Garmin Vivo Active 4S today and I am learning how to use it but I do like it so far.  It looks more like a normal watch than my Fitbit.  Just trying to figure out which watch face I want to use with it.  Using something simple for the time being.  I am glad I went with the Smaller 4S as the Face size is just about the same as the watch I used to wear.

Fitbit Update

Well I looked at my Blog before I started using it again and I noticed that my last post last year was anticipating getting my new Fitbit Charge 2.  I have been using the Charge 2 for over a year and it still holds a good battery charge.  The stock band did fall apart but I was able to find a replacement band that has been working and it cost me about $10 so that's acceptable.  It took me a while to get used to wearing the watch type Fitbit since I had not worn a watch for some time.  Once I got used to wearing it though I hardly notice it there.  I really like to be able to check my heart rate and I look at my sleep times during the week to see how I am doing.  I notice the nights that I don't get enough.  The face has a big scratch on it but I don't really mind that.  My cat Dylan put that there and he is gone now but I have that to remind me that he liked to play.

New Fitbit

I switched from a Fitbit one to a Fitbit Charge HR last summer after I lost my Fitbit One.  I liked some of the features on the Charge HR but missed the battery life of the One.  The Charge is supposed to be able to go something like 5 days on a charge but I usually had to charge it after 2 or 3.  Recently my Charge HR started to fall apart and I called Fitbit and they gave me the option of a replacement or 30% towards a new tracker.  I decided to upgrade to a Charge 2 and am anxious to see if I can get better battery life out of the new one.  The Charge 2 also replaceable wrist bands so I am looking for something besides the stock band that it came with.
