Drupal 7, the newest version of Drupal is coming soon. It is scheduled to release on January 5th. I have worked with the release candidates and beta releases a little bit and I am really looking forward to it's release and the associated module updates. There are some very cool enhancements in the new version I want to use. The new admin overlay and admin theme are very nice. It also seems a little snappier to me so far.
